A Night of Celebration: The Grand Launch of the PTA Multi-Sports Courts

Under the glow of evening lights and an air of excitement, Rhodes Park School marked a historic milestone on February 14, 2025—the grand launch of the PTA Multi-Sports Courts. The event, a spectacular cocktail night, brought together our Managing Director, Mr. Chisha Folotiya; PTA Chairperson, Mr. Oswell Siazilo; teachers, parents, and special guest Mr. Ian Miyoba, the District Education Board Secretary, representing the Ministry of Education.

This state-of-the-art facility is the result of a powerful collaboration between Rhodes Park School, the PTA, and the Ministry of Education—with the Ministry providing the land and the school community bringing the vision to life. Designed to cultivate athletic talent, teamwork, and a culture of fitness, the courts promise to transform sports at Rhodes Park School.

The evening began with an elegant cocktail reception, leading to the ribbon-cutting ceremony—a moment of pride and unity. Cheers erupted as the ribbon fell, symbolizing the dawn of a new era for student athletes.

In his address, Mr. Miyoba applauded the school’s commitment to sports development, while Mr. Siazilo highlighted the success of this public-private partnership. Featuring premium basketball, tennis, and multi-sport courts, the facility will empower students to train, compete, and excel.
