The Incredibles GameCube 100% Playthrough Part 18 [Save the World]

Having finally made it back to Metroville, the Parr Family team up with Frozone to take down the final Omnidroid before it destroys the whole city.

The final boss against the Omnidroid V. 10 ends the game decently enough. It's not a super amazing final boss, but I like it. Two phases are dedicated to you running back and forth after the Omnidroid to lift its foot off Syndrome’s Remote before your allies grab it to shift you to the next phase. The robot will focus all its attention on attacking you, throwing cars and boulders at you, shooting red explosion lasers and shooting energy bullets from the bottom visor until you get close to it, in which case it’ll start attacking your allies (in this case Dash and Violet). Grab debris as it’s attacking them and chuck it at the visor that pops out of the bottom of its head. It’ll retaliate with claw stabs three times until it starts shooting your allies again, if you time it right and you’re in the right position to do so, you can attack his visor right as the last claw stab happens, repeat until the robot’s HP runs out. Then, you repeat what you just did in the first two phases, except it’s Frozone who’s got the remote in the next phase and the robot attacks you five times instead of three after you hit its visor.

If you try to attack the visor with a high-jump attack, it won't work: if you try that the Omnidroid will slam itself on you if you're directly underneath it like it did Violet's forcefield in the movie.

It’s sort of funny, Syndrome made this giant robot with an advanced AI that learns from every fight and has state of the art weapons, but for some reason he thought it was a good idea to control it with a wrist-sized remote, not a great plan.

Once all’s said and done, Elastigirl retrieves the remote and you reenact the scene from the film where Mr. Incredible gets the idea to penetrate the Omnidroid with its own claw missile, due to the claw spinning like a drill the targeting reticle is fighting against you as the Omnidroid approaches, and if it reaches you then you’re dead and you have to start the fight all over again. But this phase is actually easy, as the Omnidroid approaches closer it’s an easier target. Once the targeting reticle is centered on the target in the middle of the robot, press the button and the robot is destroyed, thus ending the game.

You’re then thrown back in the boss arena after the fact as the credits roll, this is a perfect opportunity to grab the Bonus Items in this level if you hadn’t done so already, it's quicker to do it during the credits anyway. But even though the final boss is over, we’re not quite finished just yet.
