More than ever it feels like everything has to be a side hustle, or shared with as many people as possible to be even worth trying. And online there’s examples of thousands of people who are more capable of making and building and sharing their hobbies than you’ll ever be, so why even try. The truth is, hobbies aren’t really encouraged in our society in general unless you’re buying something or monetizing it in some way and it’s only getting worse.
