Toronto-area gets slammed with major snowstorm, causing delays and closures

A significant winter storm is barreling down on southern Ontario, causing delays, closures and cancellations across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).
The region could see the biggest snowfall totals so far this season, between 20 and 30 centimetres.
Environment Canada warns of reduced visibility and heavy snow as well as local blowing snow. The snow is expected to continue through the morning and taper off late Thursday afternoon.
