Toddler Attacked by Pit Bulls While Family Visits to Buy Puppy

A tragic incident in Minnesota has left a family heartbroken after 3-year-old Covil Allen was attacked by two uncontrolled pit bulls. The brutal attack has left Covil with injuries so severe that his family does not expect him to survive.

The attack happened at a home in Brooklyn Park, where Covil's family had reportedly gone to buy a dog. The uncontrolled pit bulls turned on the child, and in a desperate attempt to save him, adults used hammers and pickaxes to fend off the dogs. When police arrived, they found the dogs still attacking the boy. Officers shot both animals, killing one, while the other was later euthanized.

This senseless tragedy highlights the dangers of uncontrolled pit bulls and the irreversible harm they can cause. Covil’s family is now relying on the support of an online fundraiser to help cope with medical and other expenses during this unimaginable time.

Brooklyn Park police have stated that larger discussions are underway with city leaders about preventing dog attacks, but for Covil’s family, the damage has already been done. This heartbreaking event underscores the urgent need for stricter controls and accountability for dangerous dogs.
