A couple of laps the the Brent House Railway in Cambridgeshire, running clockwise with a rake of 4 coaches in tow. It was a busy day and others are passing on the inner loop, in the branch and ahead of us.
Our polly trojan is not completely standard - she has a Kordina exhaust and is much heavier. We have also filed an additional notch in the forward part of the reverser, which is used in preference to the full ahead notch, no discernable difference in power or easy starting, but much better on coal and water. Also fitted to both our Polly locos, a fire arch welded to the grate on a pair of legs - gives a much more even burn, a more forgiving and longer lasting fire and much less ash up the tubes and in the smokebox.
Polly loco's are built from kits in 12 stages and can be found here - https://pollymodelengineering.co.uk/
They run well out of the box and are "in my opinion" the best way into the hobby for those with little skill, tooling or time.
This is such an impressive garden railway.
