We got our hands on an early version of the SPEED FLEA ! An innovative and tiny GPS based speed logger that gives you the top speed of your favourite RC over ground. It could be a car, boat, helicopter, glider, jet, warbird, rocket...or anything RC that moves. Just plug it into the balance plug of your battery and SPEED FLEA will do the rest ! The imminent public version of Speed Flea will also record maximum altitude, an essential piece of telemetry for many RC hobbyists. We forgot to mention it also tells you the voltage of your battery pack when it is plugged into the balance plug. Bonus !

Watch as Jason puts it onboard his Freewing Avanti EDF sport jet and gives us the true speed which was significantly different from our guesses before the flight. We'll be using this handy little gadget on a lot of future Essential RC flight and drive tests.
