DIY DC Generator: charge batteries off grid

This broken treadmill has a good DC motor inside. In this video I pair it with a gasoline engine to build a generator that can charge batteries. It was a fun process. I can now charge 12V 24V 36V and 48V batteries. This is useful when off grid and no solar production.
