Learn how to make soft, buttery Vanilla Madeleines at home with this super easy one-bowl recipe — no mixer needed! These classic French shell-shaped cookies are perfect with tea or coffee and bake beautifully in just 10–12 minutes.

Ingredients:
• 1 egg
• 45g sugar
• 50g melted unsalted butter
• 20g milk
• 50g cake flour
• 1g baking powder
• 0.5g salt
• (Optional) 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions:
1. In a mixing bowl, crack the egg and whisk lightly.
2. Add sugar and whisk until the mixture is slightly pale.
3. Add the melted butter and mix well.
4. Add milk (and vanilla extract if using) and mix again.
5. Add cake flour, baking powder, and salt directly into the same bowl. Mix until everything is well combined and forms a smooth paste. Do not overmix.
6. Transfer the batter to a piping bag.
7. Pipe the batter into a greased and lightly floured madeleine mold. Fill each mold about 80%.
8. Chill the mold with batter in the fridge for 30 minutes.
9. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
10. Bake for 10–12 minutes or until the madeleines are golden and spring back when touched.
11. Let cool slightly, remove from the mold, and enjoy warm or at room temperature.
