Les couleurs infinies de la savane, ses couchers de soleil aux dégradés subtils mêlant douceur et intensité, la force brute et authentique de sa faune sauvage… L’Afrique est un continent unique, où des peuples perpétuent encore des traditions, des savoir-faire et un mode de vie que nous, Occidentaux, avons depuis longtemps perdus.

The endless colors of the savannah, sunsets with subtle gradients blending softness and intensity, the raw and authentic power of its wildlife… Africa is a unique continent, where people still preserve traditions, skills, and ways of life that we, in the West, can no longer reclaim.

In Tanzania, at the heart of three iconic tribes — the Maasai, the Datoga, and the Hadzabe — we tried to understand a way of life so radically different from our own. We immersed ourselves in their customs with respect, curiosity, and humility.

For my children, it was a profound revelation.
Their first long journey.
Their first encounter with people so far from their everyday life — and yet so close in their humanity.

I will never forget these moments. They won’t either. And one thing is certain: we will return to Africa. This continent has so much to teach us.
