Sooraj Diesel Engine Motorcycle was developed by Saharanpur based Sooraj Automobiles Ltd, in Punjab, India. Sooraj used the Greeves Lombardini 325cc diesel engine for their model. The company claimed fuel efficiency : 86kmpl. Sooraj is the first motorcycle in the country to feature an electric start.

Sooraj Diesel is a 4 stroke motorcycle with a maximum power of 6.5 hp at 3600 RPM, & the Max torque is 15.6 NM. Sooraj's frame is totally different when compared to RE Enfield Taurus.

Sooraj was available in four colors, which is the METALLIC BLUE, VIBRANT RED, ELEGENT BLACK AND GREY. Sooraj was approved and certified by ARAI (Automotive Research Association of India )
