The Silk Road Mountain Race is one of the most legendary race on the bikepacking circuit. With rough roads, high elevation, little resupply, extreme temperatures and long hike-a-bikes, it is an intimidating challenge.
What I aim to do here, as a two time winner of the event, is to highlight what I think are the most important aspects of preparing for this adventure. What will help you make the best of an adventure that is as challenging as it is rewarding.
