A vase was made from a piece of plum trunk. After drying in the microwave, the cracks that appeared not only did not worsen the appearance, but also gave the vase additional charm. Therefore, it was decided to leave them as they are and not fill them. Sanding stopped at 240 grit, with no oil finish applied.
CAUTION: In the video shown, using gloves on lathe IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED for safety reasons! I'm forced to use them because of my skin allergy to wood dust. Therefore, I have to work slowly and with my fingers at a distance than when working without gloves. In responsible and dangerous situations, I work without gloves. ALWAYS FOLLOW SAFETY PRECAUTIONS!
