This lesson by Nova Campus for Foreign Languages teaches 'You are' sentences in French. The main purpose of the video is to teach Hindi-speaking French learners (basic level) how to make simple sentences like 'you are tall', 'you are handsome', 'you are beautiful' etc.

In French, there two words for the English pronoun 'you'. They are 'tu' and 'vous'. This lesson covers only how to make sentences with 'tu'. The Hindi equivalent of this word is 'तू' or 'तुम'

Below is a list of some more common adjectives for you to practice. The 'f' and 'm' in brackets stand for 'feminine' (स्त्रीलिंग) and 'masculine' (पुल्लिंग).

'tu es laid' (you are ugly)...

ugly (m) =laid [ले]
ugly (f) =laide [लेद]

strong (m) = fort [फ़ौर ]
strong (f) = forte [फ़ौर्त ]
naughty (m) = méchant [मेशों ]
naughty (f) = méchante [ मेशोन्त ]

fat (m) = gros [ ग्रो ]
fat (f) = grosse [ ग्रोस ]

intelligent (m) = intélligent [ ऐन्तेलीज़ों ]
intelligent (f) = intelligente [ ऐन्तेलीज़ोंन्त ]

thin = mince [ मैंस ]
