This HiLux is Baja bound, and by that I mean it will live on a client’s ranch in Baja, CA. It will serve as a daily runabout and occasional camping rig.
But living on a Baja ranch means daily driving on sandy, dirt roads. It may get loaded and sometimes overloaded with stuff. It won’t be all fun and games for this elderly rig.
Last time, in the intro, we covered the suspension. This time it’s got new wheels and tires. Next, we will tackle a bed rack and a bed drawer. In addition, the bed will also hold two spare tires. What makes this challenging is the fact that there is no off-the-shelf solution for this truck.
