Long Distance Range Rover Road Test! // 2023 Land Rover Range Rover PHEV Family Review

The Land Rover Range Rover has always represented the pinnacle of SUV luxury and capability, and now there's a plug-in hybrid version of the iconic Range Rover. This combo makes the already luxurious Range Rover feel even more so, allowing up to 50 miles of EV range combined with a turbo straight six from the Ingenium engine family. While the Range Rover PHEV isn't as large as some of the land yachts we're used to taking on vacation, such as our Chevy Suburban, the Range Rover PHEV was an excellent companion to take on a trip to Orlando for volleyball nationals. Topping off the EV range at a nearby Electrify America station was an added bonus, and it meant that most of our time in Orlando in the Range Rover was spent in EV mode. As a road trip vehicle, this makes the Range Rover PHEV incredibly efficient. (Most of the time when you go out of town you don't travel all that far from your destination, so the possibility of being in EV mode almost the whole time is very real. Oh, and all of the usual Land Rover trappings of luxury and capability are there, too, which makes the Range Rover PHEV kind of unique among luxury SUVs. Seriously, if you want a dose of efficiency with your indulgent luxury SUV, look no further than the Land Rover Range Rover PHEV. You won't be disappointed...
