Raag Malkauns (also known as Malkosh) is one of the most profound and ancient ragas in Hindustani classical music. It belongs to the Bhairavi Thaat and is renowned for its meditative, deeply tranquil mood. Traditionally performed in the late night (3rd prahar, around 12–3 AM), it evokes seriousness, devotion, and spiritual intensity.
