▶ A brand new hypnotist! What to do? Where to start?
▶ What is your general skill level? Be honest…There’s a big difference between attending a weekend on script-reading and an immersive hypnosis training
▶ What are you most interested in working on?
▶ Pain management
▶ Fears and phobias
▶ Entertainment
▶ Street hypnosis
▶ For the new hypnotist, we recommend becoming a superb general practitioner, if you’re going to do changework.
▶ For the hypnotic entertainer it’s a good idea to build your confidence with street hypnosis
▶ In either case, learn the vernacular! There is specific hypnotic terminology you need, words like
▶ Abreaction
▶ Catalepsy
▶ Trance
▶ Critical Faculty
▶ Rapport
▶ Regression to cause
▶ Somnambulism
▶ Auto-suggestion
▶ Induction
▶ Sensitizing Event, etc. There is no reason to be a good hypnotist, but sound illiterate!
▶ For the new change worker, we recommend you begin with generative change (define the difference)
▶ Here are some things you can work on and really help people:
▶ Athletes - sports performance (Weight lifters, runners, players of team sports like football or hockey.)
▶ Martial Artists and MMA fighters (Jusuf and Judo story)
▶ Mike erased the power of the last bad fight and built in ego strengthening and positive suggestions.
▶ Public speaking is a great topic
▶ Fears, confidence enhancement, congruence (Mandel Triangle)
▶ Memory enhancement through training and trance work
▶ Motivation to exercise, become a life-long learner, or look after health
▶ One of the advantages if doing generative change is you can do it almost entirely with DSiH (and Control Panel) if you choose
▶ But all new hypnotists should add some sure-fire NLP patterns to their toolbox, because of the huge overlap with hypnotism
▶ Recommended tools:
▶ A nice-looking and appropriate office, unless you’re working entirely online or make house calls
▶ Good reliable inductions - 2 or 3, plus online inductions
▶ Chain of Excellence (explain)
▶ ADAC
▶ Walking with Grace and Power
▶ Breathing with the Hand
▶ The Spin has a broad variety of uses
▶ 6 Step to teach clients
▶ Other excellent tools:
▶ Graphology training
▶ MINDSCAPING
▶ Timeline work or Timeline Therapy ™
