A pressure sensor may be defective on the SCR metering device of the new Actros.
The instrument cluster displays a corresponding fault message.
Read out the fault memory using Star Diagnosis.
Disconnect diagnostic unit from vehicle.
Switch off the ignition.
Tilt the cab.
In this case, the air pressure sensor with the order number shown is defective.
This can now be replaced individually without having to replace the entire SCR metering unit.
The air pressure sensor is the rear one of the three sensors.
The AdBlue pressure sensor can also be replaced individually.
However, if the AdBlue temperature sensor is defective the entire unit must be replaced.
Disconnect the electrical connector from the air pressure sensor.
Loosen and remove the pressure sensor with a wrench.
Coat the thread of the new pressure sensor with silicone grease.
Screw in the sensor.
Tighten the pressure sensor to a torque of 30 Nm.
Plug the connector back in.
Erase the fault memory with Star Diagnosis.
This completes the repair procedure.
