Arcadi Volodos/Vladimir Horowitz/Franz Liszt/Hector Berlioz: Hungarian Rhapsody No.15, S.244 "Rákóczi-Marsch" (with elements from Berlioz's La damnation de Faust, Part I "Hungarian March") (longer interpretation)
Volodos has been famous for his extremely difficult and jaw-dropping transcriptions on Liszt's works, and the Rakoczy March transcription further shows how talented he is. Although this is largely based on Horowitz's infamous showpiece (which had elements from both Liszt's and Berlioz's versions), Volodos managed to add a sparkling transition (3:05) to the middle section, as well as some other interesting changes. There are 2 main versions by Volodos, and this longer one has a more powerful build-up to the coda and a more extended elaboration of the main theme (along with some slight modifications).
Shoutout to Alexey Yemtvos (https://youtube.com/channel/UCDir59Ql..., creator of this crazy arrangement's sheetmusic! His channel is severely underrated, so please check out his contents and editions - they are pretty accurate and reliable. In the case of this piece, though I had to find all the differenes between the short and long versions (Alexey only made the full score of the long version and added just one little note for the final cadenza of this short interpretation), but I'm still impressed at the accuracy of the score. So please check him out ;)
