Steam is a valuable medium of heat transfer. Steam is made from water, and in comparison to other common heat transfer media such as oil and gas, water is much cheaper and more easily accessible. It is also much safer as steam is not toxic, therefore leaks do not create an environmental hazard and it does not pose any fire or explosion risks.
Steam can be made out of sustainable fuels or green electric energy.
