Roman Anthony is a 21-year-old American professional baseball outfielder for the Boston Red Sox. A top prospect, he debuted in MLB in June 2025. Drafted in 2022 (79th overall) from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, he signed for $2.5M. In 2023, he was named the Red Sox's minor-league hitter of the year. In 2024, he rose to No. 1 on Baseball America’s prospect list. In 2025, he hit a 497-foot grand slam for Triple-A Worcester, the longest in affiliated baseball that season. His MLB debut saw him go hitless but record an RBI, followed by a two-RBI double for his first hit.
