Linux is making some big changes to the HFS and HFS+ File System

Do you use Linux on your systems? Do you run Linux on your Intel Mac? Do you have any drives or partitions that use HFS or HFS+?
I have some news that you might want to know about if you said yes to any of those questions! Christian Brauner might be pushing to remove the HFS and HFS+ file systems from the Linux Kernel. Since it has not been updated since 2014 and most systems have not used or supported the system for many years, Linux might be removing it also.
Hopefully somebody will step up and help maintain the HFS/HFS+ for the Linux Kernel.
