Bridge clamping jig and complete vacuum system. Notes: One of the things that I noticed after I made the video is that I keep referring to the flexible silicone part as a gasket, and it should be called a membrane. Also, this sucker is heavy as all get-out. I think I might either add some wheels or put it on a furniture dolly to move it around. The rubber feet were to keep it from jumping around the floor, since the vacuum pump does vibrate a bit. Also, I do not take credit for this, nor is it my invention. It is a conglomerate of some ideas online fro veneersupplies.com and the book "Do It Yourself Vacuum Forming" by Douglas E. Walsh. Here is a list of some of the parts from the video.
From VeneerSupplies.com:
Vacuum Gauge - Heavy Duty 1/4" NPT
Exhaust Muffler
Inline Vacuum Pump Filter- 40 micron
Forged Brass Cross - 1/4" NPT femal
Brass Adapter for Vacuum Clamping Jigs
Lock-on Vacuum Connector
Vacuum Gasket tape - 3/8"x41'x1/8" (I used this on both sides of the silicone membrane)
Vacuum Gasket tape - 3/8"x1/4"x39' (I used this for the face of the jig that contacts the work)
Brass tube adapter fitting
From Grainger:
P/N 4610K13: Check valve with barbed fittings for vacuum for 1/4" and 5/16" ID
P/N 6486K86: Oil resistant vibration damping mount with unthreaded hole (these are the rubber feet)
P/N 1DGA(: Brass reducing male hex nipple, MNPT, 1/2" x 1/4" (this is used on the storage tank to reduce to 1/4" NPT)
P/N 447N82: 1/4" hose clamps
P/N 13Y895: Brass extruded Female tee, 1/4" FNPT
P/N 6AFPO: Barbed hose fitting for 1/4" ID hose to 1/4" MNPT
P/N 13Y796: Brass hex nipple, 1/4" MNPT
