Looking back at 2025, our focus at Nomad Tanzania remained the same: staying true to the wild places that matter most to us, and to a way of safari travel rooted in purpose, integrity and long-term thinking.

The opening of Kusini Serengeti marked a significant moment for us. Set deep in the south-western reaches of Serengeti National Park, it sits in a landscape we have always been drawn to. Big skies, quiet roads and vast open country where wildlife far outnumbers people. The more time we spend here, the more it reminds us why this corner of Tanzania feels so special. A sense of stillness and space, where life carries on uninterrupted.

At Greystoke Mahale, the camp evolved with the addition of new jungle rooms, bringing the total to eight. Thoughtfully positioned within the forest, these rooms allow more guests to experience Mahale and its chimpanzees, without losing the feeling of immersion that has always defined this extraordinary place on the shores of Lake Tanganyika.

Walking safaris in Tanzania continued to sit at the heart of how we explore the country’s wildest corners. As the year progressed, work began on reimagining our walking camp, guided by the belief that travelling on foot remains one of the most honest and rewarding ways to truly understand a landscape.

Most importantly, what has not changed is our commitment to wild places in Tanzania. Across our safari camps, conservation work and community partnerships, the focus remains on long-term conservation, practical action and protecting the integrity of the landscapes we operate in.
