Team Japan's ending is the canon ending like KOF 94. The team encounters a brainwashed Saisyu Kusanagi who they defeat before encountering Omega Rugal. After his defeat, the power given to Rugal is too much to handle and he succumbs to it. The team goes back to Japan unknown of the threat yet to come.
