Using a contactor with a VFD on my Harrison M300 lathe (video 1/3)

In this video I explain how the VFD and remote controls work on my Harrison M300 lathe. In addition to the VFD I have added a contactor that acts as an isolating switch, disconnecting the VFD from the power supply when not in use. This eliminates the risk of accidental energization and reduces the potential for electrical shock. The e-stop button that I use for the contactor also sends a safety command signal to the VFD.
