We had about 3 hours of sunlight left in the day and decided to drive out to a new creek we found on Google Maps. We ended up having an epic creek fishing adventure! The smallmouth bass and rock bass were really biting, and I caught probably 10-15 fish total! I had a surprise catch when I landed a big rainbow trout on a hellgrammite (usually a bass lure) and he put up a good fight. He had almost fully swallowed the hook and he was bleeding pretty badly, so I decided to take him home and cook him for dinner. He went to a good cause - grilled trout tacos for my pregnant wife and me!!!
