Manned Pusher Loco Breaks Down After Pushing Train, Army Tanks On Train As 2 Trains Pass On Hill

Train Pushed Up Hill With Manned Helper Unit! Helper Unit Breaks Down With Heavy Train Approaching. Army Tanks On Train While 2 Trains Pass. Trains With DPUs & Manned Helper Unit In Erlanger, Kentucky On Norfolk Southern Railroad.
A heavy grain train comes up to the top of the hill with a manned helper locomotive pushing it. At the top of the hill near me the helper unit cut off so it could return back down the hill. The unit had a problem with the braking system. Listen to the radio audio as the dispatcher helps them figure it out.
Then Train Number 123 was coming up the hill and stalled. Train 123 was able to get running again with any help and came to Erlanger where it stopped near the station to let the helper unit pass.
Next we see the helper unit return back down the hill. Shortly after that we see Train 123 passing by.
The next train is going down the hill. This is a long train going to Gest Street Yard. While it is passing me another train came up the hill and now we see two trains passing. The other train coming up the hill had 10 army tanks on it. Unfortunately, the view was partially blocked. ( Don't worry though because I show them at the end of the video after the slide show. ) The train going down the hill had a DPU on the rear and the DPU passed the end of the train going up the hill. This is where this video ends. However, there will be a Part 2 because I couldn't let 10 tanks go by without getting a good video of that. Due to heavy traffic I had to drive a long way to get in front of the train with the tanks. I went to Dry Ridge, Kentucky and filmed the train going under me. That will be an awesome video so make sure you check back for that.
