The Lay of Sir Savien Traliard is a song by Illien, and one of the most complicated songs with which Kvothe is familiar. It consists of two harmonies played simultaneously on the lute, along with both male and female vocal roles. The song never fails to move Kvothe to tears, as it is a most tragic ballad.
