Our host Katlego (aka Kat) is on the island and welcomes viewers to Tropika Island of Treasure season 8. He introduces us to the seven Celebrities and seven Contestants. We reveal the twist that this season the Contestants haven’t officially met and they will be teamed up on the island. Katlego then introduces us to the Maldives with enticing views of the island paradise.
We see the Contestants arriving in separate boats. First, the Celebs arrive followed by the Contestants. They’re still being kept separate. They arrive at the hotel where Katlego welcomes them and leads them to where the Celebs are already waiting. There he reveals that the Contestant auditions aren’t over and that in next weeks episode the Contestants will be competing to impress their favourite Celebrities.
