Fayette Cares Hosts Ribbon-Cutting to Showcase Food Pantry and Shelter Renovations

We are humbled by the huge crowd that joined the ribbon-cutting celebration!
Check out the highlights from our expanded emergency food pantry and homeless shelter, which were made possible by generous community contributions and grants from Ford Philanthropy and the Tennessee Housing Development Agency (THDA).
The pantry has nearly tripled in size and the shelter now includes eight units with 31 beds, providing emergency food and shelter to men, women, and children in need.
With community support in the first quarter of 2024 we've distributed more than 10,000 pounds of food, assisting nearly 400 families each month!
As we celebrated among the well-stocked shelves, we didn't just see cans, boxes, or bags of food; we saw the lives of people being fed and nourished by a caring community. The impact we make is undeniably powerful.
Thanks to all who made this day special by touring the facilities, meeting the staff and Board of Directors, and learning about the meaningful work made possible through community support.
