From an old, junked typewriter to a grass cutter, drums to cycle rims, poles to pipes, iron bars to spare car parts, several artists from across India and dozens of workers have recreated the iconic wonders of the world in the capital New Delhi. A part of the government’s Clean India Project, tonnes of scrap was beaten, cut, reshaped and remodelled by artisans, welders, grinders and painters into the Taj Mahal, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, the Eiffel Tower, Rome’s Colosseum, the Statue of Liberty, Christ the Redeemer and the Great Giza Pyramid. #India #delhi #waste #wastemanagement #wonders #wondersofindia
