Most fans know "Good Intentions" as the track from Toad the Wet Sprocket's B-sides and rarities collection In Light Syrup that garnered significant radio play and cracked the top 20 on several Billboard charts in the mid-1990s. The song, however, found its origins in the early 1990s as one of the tracks that was recorded for but missed inclusion on the band's 1991 release fear. "Good Intentions" was played at live shows as early as the summer of 1990 and occasionally throughout 1991 but disappeared from setlists after not making it onto fear. The song eventually made it onto the soundtrack for Friends and found new life. It can still be heard at Toad shows today. This performance was recorded in Santa Barbara on June 10th, 1991.
