X-Plane 12 | Zurich to Keflavik | Bombardier Challenger 650 | Rega | 4K | Flight Simulator [Part 1]

In this first and exciting new addition, we launch a new series called “Sim Air Rescue Missions”, for documentary-style medevac flight missions! We combine the world of flight simulation using X-Plane 12, with study-level aircraft such as the Bombardier Challenger 650 by Hotstart, with meticulously planned medical repatriations around the world!

Today to we are going to fly the Rega Swiss Air Ambulance Bombardier 650 (Model by Hotstart) from Zurich Airport in Switzerland (LSZH) to Juneau Airport in Alaska (PAJN). This specific video is Part 1 of the mission, flying from Zurich to Keflavik (BIKF) in Iceland for a refueling stop before continuing to Juneau.

During this video, we find out about the medical incident in Alaska that has prompted the repatriation medevac mission. We also learn about the intricate planning that is required in such complex global missions, often crossing time zones and various countries as is the case with this flight to Alaska. The flight is partially operated on the VATSIM Online ATC network. During the flight, we receive and share a medical update about the patient waiting in Alaska to be repatriated back to Switzerland.

Our flight is simulated using X-Plane 12 flight simulator by Laminar Research.
