Layla - Derek & The Dominos | Piano Play Along

One of my favorite songs with the most insane piano solo in rock history. It’s hard to top something this beautiful. I spent many hours attempting to perfect as much as possible the output of this piece I’ve been working on.

One thing I noticed is that the tuning frequency seemed a little higher in the original recording compared to standard tuning (440Hz). Through experimenting, I figured out that the recording was most likely recorded with the frequency level being set to 455Hz or 456Hz. In the recording that I created, I set the frequency to 455Hz  

Learning this by ear was my main source of learning the material and imitating it as much as possible. I might do a better recording in the future, but for now I am more than happy with the result of this video. 

I had the original recording playing through my earbuds, which was covered by my over ear headphones so I can hear both my playing and the original recording simultaneously, allowing me to play along as accurately as possible. My earbuds kept cutting in and out throughout the entire recording, which made it difficult to focus, which probably explains some incorrect notes and rhythm here and there, but I think I pulled through perfectly. All that excitement at the end LOL.
