2025 November Normandie le Rozel cotentin

Bonjour à tous,

So as I said in the last video I went to Cotentin on a good forecast and found some almost empty epic waves at plage le Rozel. The first 3 days we surfed there with just a few guys and later I found out that all the other surfers were at a more southern beach called plage d'Hatainville. There the wind was perfect sideshore and in Le Rozel a bit side off... Not a bad thing in my opinion ;-)

The side offshore wind however made sailing out pretty difficult and 'mon dieu' did I get washed... You'll know the feeling, surfing out with a bit of speed... the wind drops, speeds drops after the first swell wave. The current kicks in and leaves you pumping your sail as the next set wave rolls in... It reminded me of a verse in a song I wrote... and I got tested good on my fear management a few times out there ;-)

Under water it's all very clear
Don't you panic, the ending is near
You'll survive if you manage your fear
Breathtaking silence is all that you hear...

It were epic days and I thank all the locals for sharing the waves with this flying Dutchman. On day four, as it became crowded in the afternoon, I filmed with the drone and got some great action footage from all the surfers present. You can find it in my previously posted video.

This video tells my story from the water and i film it with a 360 camera on a pole on the back of my harness. I lovingly call it my ass cam ;-) Maybe you feel the video is too long (never long enough for me) and my music choice also is a bit different. Ah well, it's mine to chose and i just love it!
