Welcome to our Christmas Markets in London Vlog. In this video we visit we are starting our morning in Borough Market.

Borough Market is one of London’s most famous and historic food markets, located in Southwark, near London Bridge. It’s one of the oldest markets in London, dating back to at least the 11th century. Borough Market features a wide variety of fresh produce, artisanal cheeses, cured meats, seafood, baked goods, and street food from around the world. It’s known for its lively atmosphere, the market attracts foodies, tourists, and locals alike. It’s a hub for both gourmet products and international cuisine.

During Christmas, Borough Market transforms into a festive wonderland, offering a unique holiday experience. The market is adorned with festive lights, garlands, and Christmas trees, creating a cozy, holiday atmosphere. Festive Food & Drinks: Mulled wine, hot cider, and seasonal cocktails. Traditional holiday treats like mince pies, panettone, stollen, and Christmas puddings. Specialty cheeses, charcuterie, and roasted meats perfect for festive feasts. Fresh produce for Christmas cooking, including rare spices and trimmings. Gifts & Hampers: Vendors offer artisanal products, from gourmet hampers to handcrafted chocolates and unique stocking fillers. We then walk round to Winter by the River, formally Christmas by the River.

Winter by the River is a popular festive event held along the banks of the River Thames at London Bridge City. It offers a magical Christmas experience with stunning views of the city. Spanning from London Bridge to Tower Bridge, with iconic landmarks like The Scoop, City Hall, and Hay’s Galleria nearby. Festive Markets include Traditional wooden chalets selling unique gifts, handcrafted items, and Christmas decorations. Food stalls offering seasonal treats, from bratwurst and roasted chestnuts to hot chocolate and mulled wine. Ice Rink: Often, there’s a pop-up ice skating rink with scenic views of the Thames. Live Entertainment: Carol singing, live bands, and festive performances.
Themed nights, including family-friendly activities and late-night shopping. Holiday Installations: Light displays and festive installations enhance the riverside ambiance, perfect for evening strolls.

We then finish the evening at Christmas in Leicester Square Christmas Market.

Christmas at Leicester Square is a festive event in the heart of London that transforms the iconic square into a magical winter wonderland.
The Traditional Christmas Market: Wooden chalets offering handmade gifts, festive decorations, and seasonal treats. Food stalls serving mulled wine, hot chocolate, bratwurst, churros, and more. Spiegel Tent Performances: A beautiful, vintage-style performance tent hosts a variety of shows, including cabaret, comedy, circus acts, and family-friendly performances. Notable shows often include “La Clique,” a blend of cabaret and circus, as well as children’s shows like “Baby Loves Disco” and “The Gruffalo.”
Santa’s Grotto: A charming grotto where children can meet Santa and receive a small gift. Tickets are usually required and sell out quickly.
