Canadian National+Amtrak-Old Fashioned Thanksgiving Railfanning-Marks to Askew, MS 11/28-29/2019 ©

Without a scanner or any heads up info, I headed out to CN's Yazoo Sub while back in Mississippi for Thanksgiving. Unlike the two previous trips, I managed to catch some trains, and did it the old fashioned way, by looking, chasing and waiting! You'll see a SB manifest freight with Gevo power in Marks, then a NB ethanol move with GE/EMD power at Askew, then Amtrak's City of New Orleans at Sledge and Marks. P059 was moving south from Milepost 52 at around the 79 MPH limit, and I managed to get ahead of it in time to catch it at the flag stop in Marks at Milepost 65 about 14 minutes later. That gives you some idea of how fast I had to drive! :) Lastly, there's a NB manifest in Marks the morning after Thanksgiving. Enjoy!
