諏訪神社

現利根川水系（利根川東遷事業前は鬼怒川水系）と現江戸川水系（同事業前は太日川・渡良瀬川水系）の分水嶺にあたる台地上にある。境内には「諏訪神社遺跡」が存在しており、縄文時代後期から人が居住していたことがわかっている。

社伝によると大同2年（807年）に、天武天皇の皇子・高市皇子の後裔の一部が移住し、この地を永住の地と定め、当地開発の守護神として、信州の諏訪大社から分祀・創建されたとされる。また、それより以前、景行天皇の御代には既に祀社があったとされる。
高市皇子と三輪高市麻呂の縁を示すこの神社の社伝は、大和国にある大神神社（大国主神）や筑紫国の宗像大社（宗像大神）との関わりも指摘される。なお、古くは当社の別当寺・奥の院とされた成顕寺も大同年間に空海（弘法大師）の弟子によって建立されたと伝わる。

Suwa Shrine

It is located on a plateau that is a watershed between the current Tone River system (before the Tone River eastern transition project, the Kinugawa system) and the current Edo River system (before the project, the Tahikawa and Watarase river systems). The "Suwa Shrine Ruins" exist in the precincts, and it is known that people have lived there since the late Jomon period.

According to the company's biography, in the 2nd year of Daido (807), a part of the descendants of Emperor Tenmu's prince and Prince Takechi moved to this area, and this area was designated as a permanent residence. It is said that it was divided and built. Prior to that, it is said that there was already a shrine in the reign of Emperor Keiko.

The shrine's biography, which shows the connection between Prince Takechi and Takechimaro Ooichi, is also pointed out to be related to the Okuninushi Shrine (Okuninushi) in Yamato Province and the Munakata Taisha Shrine (Munakata Ogami) in Tsukushi Province. It is said that Jokenji Temple, which was once the temple of our company, was built by a disciple of Kukai (Kobo Daishi) in the same year.
