Navigating conversations around whiteness and anti-racist practice in therapy is inherently destabilizing, a full-body experience that reveals stark differences in comfort and privilege. 🗣️🧠
The profession is not yet fit for purpose, with a persistently Eurocentric and often unintentionally violent framework that marginalizes the lived experiences of Global Majority colleagues. 🚫
Moving forward requires dismantling this system, not just at the individual level, but structurally from the top down. 🔝
While the task is vast, change is possible through intentional self-reflection (like white affinity groups) and, crucially, by centering and supporting the leadership of Black and Brown voices. 🤝🏾
