I am very impressed!
I had only done stick welding and that was many year ago. With a few projects in mind, I discussed with a few people what I should get and they all recommended "MIG" welding. I didn't want to be bothered with the gas and I found out about "flux core wire welding," and decided to invest in a welder of that type. I bought the Fourney welder and I'm working on my second project (the first was a garden cart to pull behind a small tractor), and I must say I am impressed. The welder works great! I won't be welding thick metal (over 1/4"), so this welder is perfect. So far I have used it on a standard 120V outlet and have had no problems. My latest project involves welding lots of angle iron to square tubing (2") and it has performed flawlessly. I would definitely recommend this small welder to anyone unless you need to weld thicknesses above 1/4".
