Hong Kong style cafes, also known as Cha Chaan Teng, are an all-time favourite among locals. Not only do they demonstrate Hong Kong’s unique east meets west culture phenomena, but they also serve up an array of classic staples that are both efficient and affordable. Differing from Dai Pai Dong, Hong Kong style cafes are usually open all day long. Many of which stay open until the wee hours.

Most of the food on the menus is served at all hours, ideally suited for the fast-paced lifestyle of Hong Kong people. Apart from milk tea and French toast, you can also try pork chop rice in scallion oil with fried eggs and BBQ pork omelette with rice!
