The Swan / Le Cygne by Saint-Saëns (Suzuki book 6).
I was working non-stop for the last two months and finally have some time off to relax and enjoy life (a.k.a. play a lot of cello, haha).
The Swan was next in line :-) The notes were easy to learn, but after I presented it to my teacher, I got some pointers to improve phrasing, vibrato, and a bunch of other stuff. So I spent the last week playing with a metronome, working on vibrato, and watching great cellists play this piece.
I'm pretty satisfied with the sound. Vibrato is okay on long notes, but I have trouble implementing it on continuous shorter notes. It sounds/feels like there is a cramp because my arm/hand just locks up—but the problem disappears when I play it slowly. So I guess it's just a matter of time and practice before I succeed
