I decided to modify my delta rockwell wood lathe and install a DC motor and controller from a used treadmill.
In this video I explain how I wired the build and how in installed it on my lathe. The motor is variable speed with the use of the motor controller and potentiometer, so no need for a pulley set.
This is the firs of three videos I will be doing.
The second video will be creating a tool rest base for the lathe
the third video will be restoring/cleaning/painting the lathe so stay tuned and subscribe!
Be sure to check out these videos that helped me out tremendously
