It’s May 25, 1998. We're watching game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals between the dynastic Chicago Bulls, and legitimate challengers to the throne the Indiana Pacers. With 2.9 seconds left, the Pacers are down 1 and have the ball, and I'm assuming the Chicago Bulls are pissed. Michael Jordan in particulat
Not just because nobody like to be on the precipice of losing, but because The Bulls really don't care for the Indian Pacers. Michael Jordan in particular abhors the franchise and it's face-- Reggie Miller.
You don't often see Michael Jordan chucking balls at people's heads in frustration. But the 98 Pacers have that effect on the GOAT.
So, what I'm getting at is, to fully understand just how much these next 2.9 seconds mean to both teams, we've gotta rewind.
