In Episode 17, we slow things down and soak up the rich local flavor of the Mexican coast [Ep. 17]
We kick things off in Tenacatita, where we catch up on some boat projects, explore the anchorage and visit a small, local mezcal distillery—sampling the good stuff straight from the source. Then it's a dinghy ride across the bay to La Manzanilla, home to a crocodile sanctuary nestled in the mangroves. Yes, actual crocodiles. Up close.
Afterward, we hoist the anchor and sail south to Barra de Navidad, a charming harbor town with a lot to offer. From there, we head over to nearby Melaque just in time to join the vibrant celebration of Día de San Patricio—Mexico’s unique take on St. Patrick’s Day, complete with fireworks, music, and serious community spirit.
