I Played 40HRS of God of War Ragnarok: Start to Finish At Lv. 1 Like It Was Elden Ring.

This is my Personal Journey 💻 through God of War Ragnarok as Level 1, with no upgrade to Kratos' armoury, weapons pommel's or runic attacks... So feel free to explore what it's like playing through or having the experience, but from another's eye.

Elden Ring, like most Souls-like games, is known for its unforgiving difficulty ☠️💀 — brutal boss fights, relentless enemies, and starting out with little to no upgrades. To recreate that same intensity, I played God of War Ragnarok as if it were Elden Ring — staying at Level 1, with no upgrades to my gear or armour from start to finish.

This kind of challenge isn’t new to me. In fact, God of War Ragnarok: Valhalla offers a similar experience with its “Penalty of Breaching” perk — so I knew what I was getting into.

Whether you’re new to Ragnarok or just looking for a fresh perspective, there’s a lot to take away from this journey. But before diving in, here are the self-imposed rules I followed throughout the run.


🗒️💀 SELF-IMPOSED RULES:

No Armour upgrade, and must play with the Level 1 "Shoulder Guard of Survival Armour".

No upgrade to runic attacks. All runic must be at level 1.

Limited upgrade to weapon, as that will unlock all Kratos basic skills.

No mod addition to all weapons (Leviathan Axe, Blades of Chaos and Draupnir Spear) skills

No Nornir chests, no upgrades to either "Health" or "Rage".

Must not do any side quests to get additional buffs or enchantments.



🗒️WHAT YOU WILL LEARN OR KNOW ABOUT?

1. RUNICS -
Watching the video grants you insight on where (the realms and location) to get all runic attacks in god of war Ragnarok: for the leviathan axe, blades of chaos and draupnir spear, particularly those associated with the main story quests and not side quests.

2. HEALTH BAR / ENEMY COLOUR STATUS -
Health bar colour symbolizes the power level of enemies compared to you, which can mostly occur base on the stage you are at the game or the power level of armour you're wearing. Same applies to the power level of all boss encounters.

:Green - low level compared to you
:Yellow - Mid or same level as you
:Mid-brown - A level above you
:Purple - Highly difficult and two levels above you
:Red - Most difficult and three levels above you
