Changed the stock 50 lb lead-acid battery for a light-weight AntiGravity Lithium-Ion battery and saved over 34 lbs! Watch the video for more on my impressions and technical specs on this battery.
I experienced an unexpected failure in the few weeks following the battery replacement. The car's core accessories work fine, but my aftermarket stereo amplifier does not. More of that in the video, but I'll update subscribers when I find out more about what actually happened.
I mention it in the video, but I want to express it here too. This "Re-Start" model battery shuts itself off automatically when the voltage drops below 12V, but if you decide to use a battery tender to keep the battery conditioned while it is not being driven for a long period of time, ONLY use a LifePO4 battery tender for this type of Lithium Iron Phosphate battery. Otherwise, you run the risk of overcharging and damaging the battery.
