Created for the students, faculty, and staff of California State University, Northridge. The words "active shooter" are frightening in their imagery. It is especially difficult to think of such a horrific event happening at CSUN. Although mass shootings are relatively rare events, the sad reality is that this type of emergency situation has been happening with greater frequency around the country and it reminds us it can happen anywhere, at any time, and any place. The video "Active Shooter and the Survival Mindset" was designed to educate the campus community on the need for a survival mindset and swift action in the event of an active shooter incident. Understanding the following simple concepts could save your life in this type of emergency.
